Stay on 66/F floor with Harbour View

Hi, I am now on 66/F, with facing the ,  world’s sixth-longest span suspension bridge , Tsing Ma Bridge and busy cargo terminal. It actually is a brand new four star hotel. It is situated at Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.

Once I stepped into the lobby, I saw many tourists. Then, I have waited for   20 minutes to check-in. Because I used the nicely cheapest way to book the hotel on the same

View from Room

day, they didn’t have the record. But, it was fine to let me stay at the 66/F ,with harbor view.

Then, I have moved to the life lobby to 41/F, then change to 66/F. When the door closed, it just took less than one minute to reach 41/F. The feeling was just like taking off with aircraft. This hotel divided as two building. This time, I stayed at the tower 2. I crossed the bridge to tower 2 on 41/F.

After inserted the room card, all the lights and 32” LCD  TV would be switched on automatically. The would display a welcome message to you magically! It makes all customers have a nice experience.  You can see the harbor view at the room, like theTsing Ma Bridge. Bathroom has a see through design that can make you bath with seeing the night view. And, You may feel you were the tallest in Hong Kong, because you would be at the highest place at Tsuen Wan!

Fact Sheet:

Walk-inPrice: HKD2400 to HKD3000

My price: HKD450+45= HKD495

p.s. 1.  It is highly recommend book online, unless you want to pay double even more!

2. Price is subject to peak/off-peak season. But, generally, the range is USD60-80

L’hotel Nina et Convention Centre Hong Kong

What I like?

I like the harbor view and the bath room, because I can bath with viewing the night view.

What I hate?

They don’t provide free Wi-Fi. And, they charge high bucks for accessing Internet, HKD30 per hour.

They do provide a nice buffet breakfast, but with a high price, USD20.

Transportation:

It is located at 300 meters far to Tsuen Wan West MTR Station, Metro in Hong Kong. And, 1 Km far to Tsuen Wan Station. Some big shopping mall surrounds the hotel. Taking MTR, from Hotel to major attraction, would spend normally 20-40minutes.

Summary:

In sum, this is a nice hotel. But, they need to improve the management, because I have waited for checking in or out for 15 minutes each. And, I have no idea why it has the big gap if booked online and walk-in.

Waterfall in Luang Prabang, Laos

There are many waterfalls in Laos. Right now, I would show you, maybe, the best natural waterfall in Asia, Kuang Si Waterfall. It is located at 30KM far to “downtown Luang Prabang.” There are several waterfalls around Luang Prabang. But, this one is the most famous one.

What can you do ?

There is a bear rescue center, located at the entry. There is a charity shop. Let say, a T-shirt just costs LAK 50,000 (USD8).
Still, we can go swimming at the pool. There are few swimming area. All are natural pool.

How can I go to there?

There are many taxi, tuk-tuk, drivers would invite you to go at Luang Prabang town. Maybe, you can share costs with the tarvellers you met on the street.
What’s my pick?
I went to there by pedaling a bicycle. It is not too far, just 30KM to entry point. Then, we have to walk inside the national park. I highly recommend you go there by bicycle, because you may see the local villages. You also would be superstar, because many locals would say “Hello” to you. And, if you were lucky, you may see the military training. You may pass the army base and some new schools to see the kids.

Note to cyclist: there is a safe paid, 500Kip per entry, bicycle parking. You can ever park the cannonade at there!

Biking to Waterfall is the best way!

How is the road?

All 30 KM are on-road. And you can rent the mountain bike, with disk brake, for LAK40,000 per day. Note to rent a bike. They may request your passport for deposit. But, you may use driving license instead of passport.

How long should i spend?

I spent almost 2.5 hours for riding a bike, round trip. So, overall, I think you should spend at least 6 hours.

Where can I have meal?

There is a small market near to the entry. You may buy the shirts and foods, like BBq chickens, baguette, noodles soup(just for LAK5000 etc.

Remarked for swimmers:

You must bring your own towels and suits, because we cannot buy at the market.

How much Lao Kip should I bring?

40,000 for bike + 8000 for bottle water + 12,000 for baguette+ 20,000 for entry +500 for bike parking

Accommodation Rate:

Honestly, compared to Vietnam, it is slightly expensive and smaller. But, it is a still cheap rate.

The guesthouse would mostly start from, cheapest limited offer,  80,000Kip per night(breakfast exclusive ). I visited some guesthouses. The 80,000kip one is really than 250,000 kip one. The 250,000Kip would include breakfast and has Mekong River View. The average rate should be 220,o00 kip. Guesthouses nearby Mekong River would be more expensive, but have romantic view. The most expensive hotel would be over USD200.

Range: 80,000kip to USD200

p.s. Accommodations at Luang Prabang are always fully booked. It is advised to reserve your room. And, less guesthouses provide free wifi service . You may just search the rate below:

But, how to go Kuala Besut?

If you are from Kuala Lumpur, you can simply take the train to Kota Bahru(the station is Wakaf Bharu), then there is a bus to go. For train time table, please check here.

How to know the currecny rate?

Don’t you think it is hard to find the currency rate on internet? I would share a simple way to check it.

Step 1.

Find out the ISO Code, i.e. USD is US dollar; GBP is UK Pound.

UK=GBP

Malaysia= MYR

Step 2

Go to google.com

Step 3

Type the following formulae:

1 USD to GBP

Get a cheap accommodation

When you go traveling, you must find accommodations. But, the price has a wide range. Some people would think that” should I reserve a room before ?”

My expereicne is fine to book a room, becuase the price should be cheaper than walk-in, even the website took commission. I have no idea when it would be cheaper. Perhaps, it is fact.

I helped my relative to book a room in Malaysia. The room rate  is chepaer than walkin. Maybe, the agent website reserved lots of room; so they may offer us a cheaper rate.

How to find?
Just google the following words. You may find plenty of sites.
Key words are:

cheap accommodation

cheap hotel

last minute accommodation

By the way, My sister and I mostly use this one, becuase it has cheap rate at most of the time.

KLCC Travel Guide 2

Hi, I guess you read the KLCC Travel Guide 1.
I would show you another thing you may like. Going cinema may be a good choice!

AT KLCC, there is only one cinema. I have tried going cinemas in all South East Asia Countries. Here should be the best one, because it has the cheap price, RM 9-11, (EUD2) per movie. Plus, there are many new movies provided. Those are as new as USA and Euro. And, the seats are nice and clean. You may watch with a big screen.

How about the popcorn and soda?
They do sell them, and the price is extremely cheap! Popcorn meal set costs from RM 7-15. A soda only costs RM2.8-3.

P.S. They DO NOT accept Credit card!

Try to avoid buying tickets at peak hour, like 1700-1900

KLCC Travel Guide 1

It is a big shopping at KLCC, Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
Or, we can say it is a shopping mall of twin tower.

What you can do?

There are many world-brand luxury shops. You can go shopping there!

If you don’t want shopping, I highly recommend you can visit the Science Discovery Center on 4th floor. It is actually a in-mall museum, which is owned by Patronas Corporation. There are helicopter’s simulating and a short-trip train for you to visit. My impression is wonderful, because the flow is arranged as if I were going to visit the oil platform. First, we take the helicopter simulation.

Second, we “arrived” the oil platform to see the equipment and how the crew lives on the platform. Also, this museum has the cheap inclusive entry ticket. It includes the 3D theater and the helicopter simulation.
