More about this programme: www.bbc.co.uk Mark Beaumont, who broke the record for pedalling around the world is back on the road. This time the adventure promises to be more exhilarating and agonising – Mark’s journey will take him from Alaska, USA to Ushuaia, in southern Argentina; cycling the length of the Rockies and Andes, 13000 miles through 12 countries. He’ll also attempt to reach the summits of the highest mountains in North and South America. For nine months, Mark will self-film his intimate adventure at bike speed.
wanker! was he scared of cycling through Colombia? it pisses me off!!!!
heh , if you’re from there I can see how you’d be annoyed, but man, whatever it is cycling thousands of miles like that. I mean you’d be glad to drive it let alone cycling it !!
so Mark never cycled through Colombia – so what. The airports and sea ports may be crawling with feds and dea and police but travel inland and its not so safe. I would have done exactly what this tough, proud Scotman did – give it the swerve too. Hats off to you Mark. Just watched the progs on BBC. Reminded me of a few sights I saw in S America in the 80’s. Cheers
@jca516 And likely get killed or held for ransom? sounds brilliant.
I ha he opportunity to meet the guy. He’s an absolutely legend who inspires and spread motivation of doing something more than leading just a coach potato lifestyle.
I have a great respect to you, Mark, for your ambitious plans. Congratulations for your drives and for reaching your great goals! Keep going !!! We keep our fingers crossed for you!
